Interpretive: By having a positive role model that you look up to, you too will become a positive person. If you have someone to look up to who is taking care of themselves your more likely to do the same.
Applied: When a little girl is growing up especially in today's day in age their more likely to look through magazines and find a role model who they think is the best person to look up to but if they know what to look for they'll have a better chance when growing up and dealing with problems.
